WCFF Midsummer Picnic – Food, Flies, Fun!!

London Tract Meeting House
The July meeting will be a special LIVE-ONLY event (no
ZOOM). The club will have a cookout followed by hands-
on program demonstrations. There will be so much going
on that we have to start early to fit everything in.
PICNIC – The club will provide burgers, condiments,
drinks and utensils. Members are asked to bring a chair,
and a covered dish to share. We are looking for salads,
desserts or toppings for the burgers (cheese, onions,
lettuce, pickles and tomato). RSVP so that we can get
the numbers right.
The meeting program will cover three areas:
CASTING – bring a rod and cast on the field. There will
be a demonstration and instruction on the double haul.
Get more out of your cast with a few tips on this important
casting skill.
WADING GEAR REPAIR – It is hot out now, but
remember those cold, wet feet this spring? We will be
doing wader and wading boot repair demonstrations. We
will work on breathable waders, neoprene waders and
wading boots. Also, if you want to work on your own
waders or boots please bring them and we will take a
crack at fixing them for you! That’s right, bring your gear,
make sure that it is clean and dry and we will be set up to
repair them.
FLIES – Have your fly boxes been emptied out from your
fishing during the spring season? Peter Vining will present
some thoughts on restocking them buy buying quality flies
without breaking the bank.
