Dry fly / Dry-Dropper Workshop
(Price $40 – includes morning snacks and beverages – attendance limited to 20)
Dry flies and dry/droppers – Includes PowerPoint presentation on basic and advanced fly presentation, the importance of leaders — rigging, leader formulas, fly line discussion and product demonstrations. Knot demonstrations and hands-on rigging. Breaking down important hatches and their imitation.
Casting/presentation demonstrations will be given outdoors (weather permitting). A working dry fly leader will be provided to each student. Students should bring their dry fly rod and line rigged with a leader to use during the discussion of rigging and presentation. If time permits we’ll do some demo casting at the end of class with practice time with their new leaders. Class assumes basic knowledge of fly fishing.
