Comprehensive Workshop on Euro Nymphing

Euro nymphing. This is a focused workshop teaching fundamental euro nymphing and its advanced skills. The class will emphasize skill details – in casting, mending, drifting techniques (on-the-water instruction will be given weather depending). The class will also include PowerPoint presentation with hands-on demonstration of knots, leaders and rigging. We will begin with tension drifts, but also cover some of the newer modifications such as euro- dry-dropper and sighter floating drifts with an emphasis on presentation and matching method to water type. There is an opportunity to demonstrate casting techniques.
Since there is an on-the-water component students should bring their wading gear and a euro rod and reel, rigged up with the line and leader provided. This will save a lot of time and students will need to be ready to roll. On the reel, use standard backing and SA braided core, LEVEL Euro Tactical Nymph line (.022”) to the leader. Participants should prepare with fishing equipment and clothing.
