Meeting Minutes from February 20, 2018
President Frank Lenik brought the meeting to order at 7:02pm. Four new members were recognized.
Last months meeting minutes were skipped to read the Board of Directors meeting minutes from January 20, 2018.
Treasurers Report: Banquet notices have been sent out.
Old Business: Fly fishing class had 24 people attend the first class with 33 signed up. Banquet tickets requests are due to the Treasurer by March 3, 2018.
New Business: Frank introduced “A Good Year Fishing” program similar to what the Salt Water Fly Anglers of Delaware use. Program will need ground rules.
The president would like to create committees to enhance our Facebook and Outreach programs.
Wayne Hunter from Yes We Can has asked for volunteers to do the Children With Challenges program at Glasgow park pond for May 2and and May 9th. A request from the Delaware Division for the Blind for a fishing outing was referred to Wayne for follow up.
Ed O’Donnell indicated that DNREC also would like us to participate in a fishing outing.
Tom Benevento, PA Water Conservation Officer provided a stocking schedule for the White Clay and other streams. Again the White Clay will receive a stocking of trophy trout on March 8th. Note will go out to members for stocking help.
Roland Miller presented information on Artesian Water well drilling and the possibilities of it being exported to Delaware customers reducing the aquifer and feeding into the White Clay.
