“Fly Fishing Methods for Local Streams” By Ed O’Donnell

Fly fishing opportunities exist almost everywhere that there is water.  Locally we are fortunate to have access to a range of options with water that can be either warm and cold, clear or turbid, still or fast flowing, and either fresh or salty.  This presentation will focus on local streams, water that tends to be small in size, but offers reliable sport and great variety.  Fishing techniques, rigging, fly patterns will be among the subjects covered.

This month we are very fortunate to have WCFF member, Ed O’Donnell, talk about fishing his home water.  It is no exaggeration to state that Ed probably knows fly fishing local streams as well as anyone.  He enjoys fishing not only White Clay Creek but many of the streams that are within an hour’s drive.  Ed is a perennial favorite to win the “WCFF One-Fly Contest” so it will be a valuable treat to hear him describe and discuss some of techniques and favorite fishing locations.
